Reel 1 shows Under-Sec. Patterson and Gen. Arnold; contrasts war humor (make-shift baths and bomber nicknames) and Seriousness {wounded men, burials, etc.} A P-38 takes off from Adak. Fighter pilots rush to their planes in the Pacific. Reel 2, Wegesak, Ger., is bombed despite flak and enemy fighters. Intelligence officers question a bomber crew. A transport takes off from New Guinea. Wounded are put aboard a plane. Reel 3, paratroops jump over North Africa. A Pacific island, the Mareth Line in Tunisia, and Pantelleria are bombed. Japanese installations on Kiska and New Britain are strafed.
